Kybella®

Kybella® is a first-in-class treatment that permanently dissolves fat from the submental area (under the chin) without surgery.  It is FDA approved, and we are proud to be the first in the area to provide this amazing treatment. Deoxycholic acid, the active ingredient in Kybella® is a natural substance found in the body and works to destroy fat cells. The treatment is performed with several small injections into the fat tissue under the chin. Over the next several days, the fat cells are dissolved, and the body then clears them and experiences tightening in the area over the next month.  A series of 2-3 treatments are required.

What is Kybella®

KYBELLA is the first and only FDA-approved injectable drug that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness, otherwise known as the “double chin.” It is a common yet undertreated facial aesthetic condition that can impact a broad range of adults, including both men and women.

The active ingredient in KYBELLA is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of stored fat. When injected into the fat beneath your chin, KYBELLA causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.

Treatment with KYBELLA is customized to the patient’s aesthetic goals for an improved chin profile. Once the aesthetic response is achieved with KYBELLA, retreatment is not expected. It may take 2-6 sessions to achieve desired results. Results will vary from client to client.
